IMPORTANT NOTE: Teams and clubs CAN NOT make formal offers or collect deposits/fees for the upcoming season, until an athlete has signed the Volleyball Alberta Signing Form on the appropriate signing date. Volleyball Alberta strongly recommends that clubs DO NOT facilitate any programs or open gyms during the school season to prevent athlete burn out, overtraining, and/or overuse injuries. The early signing period is intended to sign athletes that club’s have previously identified as prospects for their team(s). Otherwise, the Tryout Period should be used to select athletes not previously identified. Overlapping club activities and programs during a busy school season creates unnecessary strains on athletes and families, let’s work cooperatively to create an athlete centered model.
